Sadly permission has been granted for 9 houses on this site. Where were the 900 people who sign a petition to try and save it for the Community! Where was Councillor Knight who was so vociferously opposed but could not be bothered to come to the Planning meeting! He had already left the Town Council when we trying to put a plan together to take over the running. We spent a lot of time and effort on trying to put a plan together and I believe we did not get enough help from our County Councillor. The orchard had its trees chopped down and when Cllr Knight was notified he said the Town Council had its chance to buy the site, no mention about the trees!
We have been let down by Devon County Council for selling the asset and by our County Councillor Knight.
